About Us
Welcome to GAP Consulting.
GAP Consulting is here to help your small business with anything you might need help. We know that you are good at what you do…but there are lots of other things required to run a successful business these days and we are here to help you with whatever else that you might be struggling with. Everything from a simple question to a written Employee Handbook to online marketing–even if you don’t have a website!
GAP Consulting was started by Gregg Ponath, a longtime (35 yrs) resident of the Sacramento area and a sales and sales management specialist here for most of that time. Because of that, Gregg has developed a passion for small business and the plight that they are under in today’s challenging economic times.
“It’s my goal to help each and every business client that I work with, however I can, to bring added profitability to their bottom line and to generally make their life better. In doing so, the net result is a stronger small business community which certainly helps the economy in the region. That translates to a more vibrant way of life for all of us. My family and my kid’s families are here too, so it’s important that we do what we can to make it better for all of us here now and for generations to come.”

Gregg Ponath is a California native, a graduate of nearby Ponderosa High School in Shingle Springs (Class of 1974), and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison earning a Varsity Big 10 Letter in golf. “I’ve always been a “B”—a Bobcat, then a Bruin and then a Badger” says Gregg, with a smile. “It’s no wonder I have a passion for another “B”—Business. I love this Sacramento community, and it’s been my home most of my life. It’s my goal and desire to elevate every business that I work with, and in the process elevate the entire community—even the ones I don’t have the pleasure to work with directly. That's what GAP Consulting is all about.”
